Storm Reaches Chicago; More Than 750 Flights Canceled

blizzardAccuWeather.com reports a dangerous winter storm took shape across the Midwest Monday night, spreading heavy snow and blizzard conditions across the Dakotas. Some spots around Grand Forks reported as much as 7.0 inches, with amounts topping a foot just to the west.

Most roads across Minnesota and North Dakota were compacted with ice and snow Tuesday morning, and emergency officials said travel was not advised across most of the region.
This winter storm will only strengthen as it pushes southward, acuWeather.com says and a wall of heavy snow moves into Chicago, and moves eastward to the Atlantic coast including Washington D.C.
