Team Work - Travel Mart Cancun Latest Example of Destinations Working Together

Travel Agent recently came back from the Caribbean Tourism Conference 30 in San Juan, Puerto Rico where we heard yet again plans for regional marketing in the Caribbean. But Mexico has been going a step further as it continues to join forces with other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

If you attended the recent Cancun Travel Mart, which drew 600 buyers and suppliers, you would’ve found representatives from other destinations sharing the floor with Mexico representatives, a clear cut example that Mexico is using help from nearby countries to promote its country. And why not? The Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America all offer something different while all mostly have some similarities as well?-soft adventure, water sports and of course fun in the sun. As you will read below, Playa Resorts & Hotels is the latest hotel company to expand in both the Caribbean and Mexico.

The following destinations were represented at the Cancun Travel Mart: Acapulco, Akumal, Belize City, Campeche, Cancun, Chetumal, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Mexico City, Municipio de Solidaridad, Playa del Carmen, Puebla, Puerto Morelos, Tulum, Valle de Bravo, Oaxaca and Guadalajara.

Now that is what I call multi-regional marketing.
