With the new version of the iMedjet app, Droid phone users can travel with the peace of mind of knowing that they can always have emergency medical care at their fingertips, no matter where they are. And just as with the iPhone version, all the content is preloaded, so travelers using the app abroad won't incur any roaming charges, iMedjet says.
The Droid iMedjet app, which is available for free download from the Android Market, includes:

• Mobile Medical Information Storage: Access for both the user and doctors and EMTs in case of emergency.
• Mobile Medjet: Allows Medjet members to store membership info and get one-touch access to Medjet.com and emergency contacts; non-members can use the app to enroll in Medjet membership.
MedjetAssist is a premier medical evacuation membership service. If a member is hospitalized more than 150 miles from home - virtually anywhere in the world and requires continued hospitalization - MedjetAssist will review his or her condition both with the attending physician and the Medjet physician, and arrange medical transfer to the member's hospital of choice.
