‘Tourism is Key Event’ to be Held at Central American, Caribbean Conference

The Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA) and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) have teamed up for a special, half-day event on Wednesday, December 1 during the 34th Annual Miami Conference on the Caribbean and Central America at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami.

"Tourism is Key - the Impact of Tourism on Jobs, Investment, and Economic Development in the Caribbean" will bring together a panel of experts to discuss how policy-making, access to finance, and marketing strategies are shaping the Caribbean and Central American tourism product, and how the decisions being made today could impact industry investment and job creation over the next two decades.

"The importance of the hospitality industry to the Caribbean cannot be over-stated,” said Alec Sanguinetti, director general and CEO of the CHTA, in a written release, "but every day the competition for tourism gets stronger.”
