Travel Industry to White House: Delay Stricter Passport Rules

The travel industry wants the White House to delay a new rule requiring air travelers and cruise passengers taking trips outside the U.S. to carry passports as of Jan. 8, McClatchy News Service reports. The proposal to phase it in every two years is currently under review.
