Travel Leaders Announces Stream Hotel Program

A guaranteed 12 percent commissions on every gross booking (before taxes) is one of the features of Travel Leaders Group's new Stream prepaid hotel program. Stream allows Travel Leaders Group members to offer competitively priced prepaid hotel rooms for over 70,000 hotels and resorts worldwide to their clients while earning commissions.

Travel Leaders Group said Stream will be available in the coming weeks to all of the company’s wholly-owned, franchised and affiliated travel agencies and agents, including Travel Leaders, Results! Travel, Cruise Holidays, and Nexion.

“Travel Leaders Group is proud that our Stream prepaid hotel program is finally ready for prime time,” noted Barry Liben, Travel Leaders Group CEO. “Travel Leaders Group has diligently spent considerable time and resources in perfecting our program, making Stream as accessible and easy-to-use as possible for all the travel agencies and agents affiliated with us. Stream delivers online tools to our agents to compete even more effectively in the marketplace and increase their earnings potential while not having to spend time chasing commission payments.”
Stream also allows participating agencies and agents to further increase their earnings potential by giving them the flexibility to both mark-up the price of each room sold and add service fees. For mark-ups, Stream provides an option that allows agents to apply an additional amount to each reservation that is opaque to the end consumer. Agents also have the ability to add a service fee to each booking that is displayed with the reservation price details and is fully viewable by the client as a separate line item, Travel Leaders said.
“Our research told us that our agents wanted a prepaid hotel program with competitive rates, extensive geographic coverage, the option to add a mark-up and service fee, better search and filter functionality, and the ability to track sales and commissions by individual agents – Stream does that and so much more,” Liben explained. “Countless opportunities will flow through Stream allowing our agents to offer competitively-priced hotel rooms to their clients, whether for business or leisure travel.”
With over 600 travel agencies already enrolled, the top-booked destinations to date using Travel Leaders Group’s Stream have been for Hong Kong, Barcelona, London, Paris and Amsterdam – further demonstrating the need for the near universal reach of the prepaid hotel program, Travel Leaders said.
Stream also features:
    •    Twelve percent commissions paid each month for completed stays from the previous month;
    •    Hotel level photos, maps, and property details
    •    Real-time reporting on demand at agency/agent levels;
    •    Online reservation cancellations;
    •    After-hours 24/7 support for agencies/agents and clients on check-in date;
    •    Robust sort  parameters to simplify the reservation search process;
    •    Ability for agencies/agents to easily view their clients’ reservations; and
    •    Ability to set up unique accounts for all agents in the agency.
