Travel Leaders Expands Luxury Hotel Program

Travel Leaders’ “Luxury Hotels & Resorts” portfolio is undergoing a strategic expansion among partner hotels for 2010. Created in 2008 as part of Travel Leaders’ Luxury Hotel Program, the collection of four- and five-star properties has grown by more than 50 percent since its inception. Each participating property provides competitively priced accommodations that include value-added amenities.

“Travel Leaders is growing our Luxury Hotel Program to include more upscale hotels in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia to better meet an increasing demand for independent travel in each of these destinations,” explained Roger E. Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group. “Travel Leaders agents can offer a highly competitive rate loaded with amenities to value-conscious consumers, who in turn become highly satisfied with the service and care they’ve received. They become our biggest advocates.”

“I’ve been using Travel Leaders’ Luxury Hotel Program because customers love it,” stated Vicky Lee, Corporate Manager for Travel Leaders in La Grange, GA. “I’ve actually gone back and cancelled other bookings so I could rebook at some of these properties.”

The Luxury Hotel Program provides the Travel Leaders network with a global collection of four- and five-star city hotels and luxury resorts, each one providing a competitively priced amenity-inclusive rate that can be booked directly from each Travel Leaders agent’s GDS or directly with the property. Travel Leaders has negotiated daily breakfasts with nearly every property currently in the program, as well a variety of added values such as golf and spa credits, wine and cheese amenities, room upgrades and early check-in and late checkout based on availability.

Travel Leaders supports the Luxury Hotel Program with a full range of marketing tools, including e-commerce and a full-color portfolio brochure that’s distributed annually in bulk to all Travel Leaders agencies, as well as by direct mail to select clientele meeting specific income and lifestyle criteria.

“The purpose of the Travel Leaders program is to feature only the most distinguished properties, which we support through marketing both to our agents and to their customers,” Block noted. “All hotels are required to have a minimum four-star rating and be fully operational for more than one year. Travel Leaders then limits the number of properties we accept by city depending on capacity. Finally, we review both the rates and amenities offered and only accept the best.”
