Travel Leaders Reports Third Quarter Gains

Travel Leaders reports that its wholly-owned and associate (franchised) locations have won over $88 million in new business accounts for the year through the end of the third quarter. Travel Leaders earned $27.5 million in new business travel accounts from July 1 – September 30, 2010. Travel Leaders says that this is a conservative estimate given the voluntary reporting each quarter by Travel Leaders Associates and Travel Leaders Corporate.

“We see a direct correlation for our Travel Leaders Associates between attracting new business travel accounts and their participation in our proprietary Travel Leaders’ Envision Plus program,” stated Travel Leaders Franchise Group President Roger Block. “A perfect example would be Charlotte and Michelle Weller who won over $7 million in new business travel accounts in the last quarter alone.”

Travel Leaders Franchise Group reports it now sets up and supports three corporate booking engines centrally on behalf of Travel Leaders members of all sizes. This enables them to consult with their business clients on the system that best fits their individual needs.

“Also, the adaptability and flexibility of our members has had a real impact in attracting new business clientele,” Block commented. “Pam Edwartoski, Travel Leaders, Troy, MI is in an area that still faces huge economic challenges, yet she has creatively carved out a lucrative niche with major movie studios that are filming in the Detroit-area. She’s revamped employee work schedules to accommodate the L.A. offices of film industry heavyweights such as DreamWorks, Sony Pictures - Stage 6 Films Inc. and New Line Cinema; made changes to back-off accounting to accommodate the preferred payment methods of the movie houses such as working on retainer; and out-performed other larger travel agencies from a customer service standpoint to become the travel agency of record.”

For the second year in a row, parent company Travel Leaders Group was ranked as the top American travel management companies in Business Travel News’ Business Travel Survey 2010, an annual compendium, without even counting the additional business travel sales of Travel Leaders’ franchised units.
