Travel Leaders to Hold National Meeting in Orlando

Travel Leaders member travel agents will gather this week at Kissimmee, Florida’s Gaylord Palms Hotel for their annual convention, November 4-6. Themed “Turn It Up: We’re Ready to Rock,” the National Meeting includes general sessions, educational workshops, a trade show and opportunities to experience the Orlando area.

“Earlier this year – for the first-time in our history – Orlando surpassed Las Vegas as the top destination our travel professionals are booking for their clients,” said Roger Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group.

One feature of the conference: immediately prior to the start of the meeting, approximately 200 Travel Leaders agents will provide voluntary support to Give Kids The World, the Kissimmee-based non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to experience one of the Florida attractions at no cost.

“Since selling Orlando as a destination has become such an integral part of Travel Leaders’ business, we want to give back to this incredible community by rolling up our sleeves in support of Give Kids The World,” Block explained. This is the third consecutive year Travel Leaders agents have supported a community volunteer activity as part of their annual meeting.

Travel Leaders Group has over $6 billion in annual sales through more than 1,300 travel agency locations in the United States and Canada.
