Travel Professional Community Names Clegg President

Mary Clegg, most recently the vice president of NACTA, has been named President of the Travel Professional Community. TPC is a social community of more than 8,300 members. Under Clegg's leadership, TPC will be transformed into a new, one-of-a-kind professional travel agent resource and education organization, TPC says.

"We look forward to providing cutting edge educational opportunities, resources and new programs that are not currently offered within the travel industry," said Tom Ogg, founder and principal of the Travel Professional Community. “Mary brings the kind of vision to Travel Professional Community that will see it to maturity.”

TPC  was created in 2008 with the vision of connecting vetted travel professionals with the industry and consumers alike, in order to promote their unique value proposition. Since its inception, TPN has grown to over 8,300 vetted travel professionals.

More than 9,000 different conversation threads are currently active on the Travel Professional Network’s community board, the group says. Agents share and exchange information on business practices, training and development, job opportunities, supplier relations, booking technologies and more.
