".travel" Provider To Launch North Africa/Middle East Event

Tralliance Corp., the company behind the ".travel" Web domain, announced this week that it had partnered with Emeco Travel, a destination management corporation for Egypt, to launch a travel event dedicated to North Africa and the Middle East. More specifically, the companies say, the event will seek to find ways to market the region using the ".travel" Web domain name. The "2006 North Africa and Middle East .travel Forum" is set to take place June 21–23 in Cairo. Among the discussions will be an example of the .travel portal developed by the Canadian Tourism Commission, and how nations in the North Africa/Middle East can similarly capitalize on the new Web domain.
