Travelocity Brings Travel to Buy.com's Offerings

Buy.com Inc. has launched the new Travel Store, as part of a relationship with Travelocity. Travelocity will provide Buy.com's customers with special travel offers as well as access to Travelocity's wide variety of promotions and travel deals. Neel Grover, president and COO of Buy.com, says, "Now, through the Buy.com web site, our customers can not only purchase travel essentials such as luggage, travel guides, MP3 Players, digital cameras and camcorders, but also book their travel and lodging from start to finish at one central location." Richard Harris, Sr. VP Strategy and Distribution of Travelocity, added, "Buy.com customers represent a great fit for Travelocity: young, affluent and accustomed to getting great deals online. With vacation season right around the corner, Travelocity is excited to offer Buy.com's customers compelling travel services." Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Buy.com offers more than two million products in a range of categories including consumer electronics, computer hardware and software, cell phones, books, music, videos, games, digital music downloads, toys and sporting goods.
