Travelport GDS Signs Deal with Travel Inc

Travelport GDS reports it has signed an extended deal with long-standing customer, Travel Incorporated, one of the largest independent travel management companies in the U.S.  Through the renewed agreement, Travelport’s Worldspan platform will continue to be Travel Inc.’s preferred GDS, providing access to traditional air, rail and hotel content as well as the added ability to book low cost air content.

The agreement also provides Travel Inc. with three strategic solutions, including industry leading e-Pricing, to ensure travelers have the most advanced tools for shopping low fares; Travelport Rapid Reprice, an automated ticket repricing product and XML Pro, a web services solution enabling fast and efficient interface with Worldspan; and the exchange of structured data.

“Travelport GDS has enjoyed a successful and long standing relationship with Travel Inc. and we have always worked in a highly collaborative way with them," said Travis Christ, president, the Americas of Travelport GDS. "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Travel Inc. and their travel agents to deliver the functionality and technology they require to improve efficiencies, grow and succeed.”

"Travel Inc. has relied on the Worldspan system for 15 plus years," said Mike Brown, president of Travel Inc.  "Over this time period, Travel Inc. has expanded and evolved, along with our needs from a GDS partner. Travelport has always invested considerable time in evaluating and analyzing our business to ensure they really understand our needs. Travelport’s ability to continue to exceed our expectations with the relevant products and services and competitive commercial terms to match, means that we are looking forward to our long term partnership continuing to develop. This new agreement will allow us to provide our corporate and leisure agents with technology solutions that will improve our efficiencies and enable continued growth.”
