Travelport Names Hyden To Agency Sales Post

Travelport GDS named Scott Hyden as its new vice president, Sales for the United States. Reporting to Travis Christ, president and managing director, The Americas, Hyden is responsible for leading and growing travel agency sales throughout the U.S. His appointment takes immediate effect.

Hyden joins Travelport from STA Travel, the largest global student and youth travel agency, where he served as president, USA & Japan Divisions with responsibility for all aspects of the business including full P&L responsibility. Previously, Hyden served in general manager roles for Travelocity Business, a global corporate agency and Travelweb.com.
 

 Prior to that, Hyden was with American Airlines for 10 years serving in roles of increasing responsibility including managing director, AA.com; vice president, Cargo Finance and Information Technology; vice president, Cargo Pricing and Revenue Management and manager, revenue management. He started his career working as an auditor for KPMG.

 

Hyden holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado in Boulder

 

Dan Westbrook, who joined the company in April as vice president, Airline Services, has been promoted to vice president, Supplier Relations taking on the added responsibility of managing Travelport's partner marketing programs as well as its relationships with hotel, car, cruise and tour customers. He will continue to report to Christ.
