Travelport Showcases Travel Technology

handshakeTravelport reports the recent inaugural Americas e-volve Customer Conference at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas with nearly 200 top customers, representing 113 agencies across the U.S. Canada and Latin America. Collaborate – Innovate – Inspire was the theme of the conference.

Invitation-only, senior-level attendees had an opportunity to gain inspiration and insight from some of the travel industry's most influential speakers, Travelport says. Topics such as emerging trends, new innovative technologies and sharing of best practices were included in the program.

Participants heard from a range of speakers including: Michael McQueen, author, The Battle for Relevance, Neale Martin, author, The Force of Habit and Valyn Perini, CEO, Open Travel Alliance

A panel discussion on airline distribution featured speakers Graham Wareham of Air Canada, Dave Hilfmann of United Airlines,  Valyn Perini of Open Travel Alliance and Dan Westbrook of Travelport.

Attendees also had the opportunity to observe travel technology concepts of tomorrow first-hand as part of Travelport’s JUICE Labs initiative (Joint User Interaction Concept Experiments).  "JUICE Lab participants test-drive prototype products in development that will transform the way agents and travel suppliers work via an open platform, with intelligent search that provides multi-source travel content delivered in a superior user experience," Travelport said.

Current and prospective Travelport Developer Network members were invited to showcase their offerings to the travel agents. Those selected to participate offer innovative, forward-thinking solutions, creating a unique advantage for Travelport-connected agents.
