Travelport Wins Agent Praise

Travelport, operating the Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan global distribution systems (GDS), reports that Canadian travel agents voted Travelport as their favourite GDS in the The Agents’ Choice Awards 2010— the largest survey of its kind in Canada and currently in its eleventh year, The Agents’ Choice Awards 2010 polled retail travel agents across Canada and asked them to identify their favorites in 24 categories, including favourite GDS.

Maurita Baker, country manager of Canada for Travelport, attributed the company’s success in 2010 to Travelport Canada’s intense focus on travel agency and supplier partners.

The Agents’ Choice Awards 2010 is the largest travel agent survey in Canada and is conducted by Baxter Travel Media. Voting took place between February and April in Canadian Travel Press and Travel Courier and online at www.travel-press.com. The results are completely and entirely reflective of the votes received from travel agent respondents, Travelport reports.
