TRAVELSAVERS reports it has enhanced its proprietary B2B (Business to Business) cruiseexpress online booking engine, adding functionality that will immediately increase sales revenues for the group’s licensees and suppliers in the U.S. and Canada.
TRAVELSAVERS agents booking through cruiseexpress now have the option of selling a wide range of travel insurance products and packages offered by Access America and RBC Insurance, TRAVELSAVERS says, two of the industry’s top insurance providers.
“Travel insurance is an excellent source of supplemental income and every travel agent should be selling it to their customers,” said Makis Xenatos, senior vice president, cruiseexpress. “With cruiseexpress, all aspects of the travel sale are quick and easy to implement, all from one convenient web site.”
The web-based cruiseexpress supports TRAVELSAVERS agencies to market and sell cruises by providing live access to the inventory of major cruise lines along with real-time booking and management capabilities.
Frontline agents can conduct quick searches by: cruise line, cruise ship, date range, destination, embarkation port or port of call, departure date, or length of cruise. They can compare the statistics, itineraries, services and prices of various cruises; create a personalized e-mail; and send it off to their target client. The tool even includes a streaming video capability to help close the sale, TRAVELSAVERS notes.
“We’re the only agency group in the market today that has taken the time and spent a significant R&D budget to develop our own cruise engine,” added Xenatos. “Because we have full control over the product, we’re able to make whatever adjustments are necessary to help our agencies sell more cruises more efficiently. It’s a very easy tool to use. Simply put, agents who use the system are making more money selling cruises and they never have to leave this one site."
