TSA Precheck Enrollment Center Opens at Travel Leaders Agency in Minnesota

Travelers interested in applying for the Transportation Security Administration’s pre-check expedited security program may now do so at a new enrollment center based at the Travel Leaders Rochester, Minnesota, agency in Barlow Plaza, 1141 6th St NW. It is one of only six approved locations in the state and is the first permanent TSA Precheck location to open in Rochester.

Other TSA enrollment services offered at Travel Leaders Rochester through its IdentoGO affiliation include the Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC, and the Hazardous Materials Endorsement Threat Assessment Program, which conducts a threat assessment for any driver seeking to obtain, renew and transfer a hazardous materials endorsement on a state-issued commercial driver’s license.

The hours of operation for TSA Precheck processing at Travel Leaders Rochester in Barlow Plaza are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are scheduled at 10-minute intervals. An in-person visit to the enrollment center is required to complete the application process. The application fee is $85 and enrollment is valid for five years. TSA Precheck benefits include being able to leave on shoes, light outerwear and belts, as well as keeping laptops in their cases and 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels in carry-on bags at participating U.S. airport security screening checkpoints.

Applicants must bring a current U.S. passport or a driver license and a certified copy of a birth certificate to the enrollment center. Fingerprints will be collected and a photo taken during the enrollment session. After completing enrollment, approved applicants will receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) via U.S. mail within 30 days, which can be used when making airline reservations or added to a current reservation if more than 72 hours prior to departure.

The TSA PreCheck program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents.  Existing enrollees can also renew their status if they are nearing their expiration date. In addition, the Birth Certify service through IdentoGO allows our team to retrieve birth records for citizenship verification from most states during the enrollment process for federal programs in the Universal Enroll Service (UES),This can be useful for clients who can’t  obtain a certified copy of their birth certificate to present to TSA as a form of identification.
