Tzell Travel Group’s Rina Anoussi Passes

rina anoussiTzell Travel Group's Rina Anoussi passed away October 27 at age 67 from cancer.

Born in Greece, Rina began her career in travel 40 years ago as a ticket and reservations agent for El Al Airlines at the Tel Aviv Hilton. After moving to New York she served close to 28 years as part of Tzell, providing her expertise to luxury and adventure travelers.

Rina and her team of 11 within Tzell stressed service to their clients. She was widely traveled and spoke six languages fluently, including Greek, English, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish and French. 

Travel Leaders Group CEO Barry Liben said Anoussi was not just one of Tzell Travel Group’s premier travel agents, but also one whose unparalleled contributions significantly shaped what Tzell has become today.  

She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Takis Anoussis, her son Doron Tal, and her godson, Max Irons.  

Plans for a public memorial service will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), 30 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, Attention: Karen Brooks Hopkins.
