Uniglobe Travel Signs Agreement With Pakistan Agency

Despite current tensions within Pakistan, Uniglobe Travel International LP sees opportunity and has signed a global partner agreement with Bonds Travel Bureau with locations in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. In addition to corporate travel management services, Bonds Travel Bureau also specializes in pilgrimage tours to various countries, offers event management services, has a separate in-bound division, and has developed working relationships with various hotel vendors and ground handling worldwide.

“We expect to benefit immediately from our association with Uniglobe Travel due to their global network," said Moiz S. Ahmad, managing director of Bonds Travel Bureau. "In addition to networking key accounts with other Uniglobe agencies to grow our business, we look forward to offering our in-bound services and programs to the agencies associated with the global network.”

“In today’s climate of globalization, being serious about the business of business travel makes an association with a worldwide name brand organization almost imperative,” said John Henry, senior vice president of global development for Uniglobe Travel International.  “Uniglobe Travel offers a network of more than 750 locations in more than 40 countries around the world, and with Bonds Travel Bureau, I think we have a very good fit.”

Henry said the Uniglobe Global Partner program is open to top performing agencies in any country that is not presently covered by a master franchise and introduces Uniglobe Travel to new business markets. The program, which has been operational since late 2006, allows Global Partner agencies to enjoy the benefit of combining their own locally established and recognized brand with the international brand of Uniglobe Travel.

Uniglobe said the benefits Global Partner agencies enjoy include: networking for in-bound and out-bound business travel; access to leading technology; use of Uniglobe Travel Hotel program; use of Uniglobe branded programs and materials; and access to Uniglobe Travel Product Exchange program, which gives Global Partners the ability to promote, share and sell their travel products, block space, event tickets and packages to other Uniglobe Travel agencies. Other benefits include participation in training programs designed to build sales, marketing, financial management and customer service, attending the International Management Academy and collaboration of multi-location corporate accounts.

Uniglobe Travel International is the world’s largest single brand travel franchise organization with more than 750 locations in more than 40 countries generating $3.0 billion in gross annual sales.
