Following its International Conference & Trade Show onboard Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas in May, Vacation.com has announced that its 15th annual conference will be held at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL, June 11-15, 2013. Over 250 agents have already registered to attend the four day event, Vacation.com said.
“In 2012, we made history by hosting the largest travel industry event ever held onboard the largest cruise ship in the world,” said Vacation.com President John Lovell. "Bringing Conference back to Orlando will be another huge draw for our agents as Orlando continues to be a top destination for leisure travelers – and one many of our agents excel in selling."
Lovell said the 2013 conference will include more than 150 hours of classes and the opportunity to network with travel agents and preferred supplier senior executives. A trade show will be featured.
The 2013 Conference theme is “Rise and Shine.” Early bird registration is now open at a rate of $79 through September 30. Agents can visit www.conference.joinvacation.com to register, view the Conference agenda, and reserve discounted hotel room rates.
Hotel space is expected to sell out, Vacation.com said. One of the highlights of the 2013 Conference will be an offsite excursion to SeaWorld Orlando and the park’s new Antarctica-Empire of the Penguin exhibit set to open in May 2013.
More than 1,200 attended the 2012 International Conference, Vacation.com says which featured more than 100 training sessions, five general sessions, two industry-executive panels, and a sold-out trade show lined with more than 100 exhibitors. In a post-Conference survey, Vacation.com members reported a 97 percent overall satisfaction rating.
