Vacation.com has released details on its 2016 "Bucket List" vacations brochure, which highlights 29 vacation packages. Available in a full-color brochure, as well as online, the Vacation.com 2016 Bucket List displays itineraries for each of the highlighted vacation experiences, along with an exclusive offer for those who book by March 31, 2016.
Notable destinations include:
“France’s Finest”: Vacation.com clients will explore Paris, Burgundy and Provence with Viking River Cruises. This 15-day journey sails the Seine through historic Normandy, visits the D-Day beaches, explores Monet’s gardens at Giverny and stops in Paris. Guests will then sail into southern France along the Saône and Rhône Rivers. Additionally, as part of Viking’s Culture Curriculum, guests will learn about and sample a variety of French cheeses, taste some Burgundian wines and learn to say a few words en Français.
“Lisbon & Northern Spain”: This 12-day Globus trip will explore the coastline of Portugal and Northern Spain. In Portugal, guests will stay in Lisbon and Oporto, and enjoy guided sightseeing tours in both cities. While in Oporto, clients will also explore the Douro River with a local guide and see the cathedral, the Church of Sao Francisco, and the stock exchange with its contemporary Arabian Hall, inspired by Granada’s Alhambra. A stop to Pamplona at the foot of the Pyrenees is also part of this journey. Clients will enjoy a walk through the Calle Estafeta, where the famous “running of the bulls” takes place, and enjoy lunch with traditional tapas and Rojo wine at Basaburua restaurant.
“Alaska Land + Sea”: Vacation.com clients will enjoy a 12-day land and sea adventure at Holland America Line’s Base Camp at Denali. Guests will cruise the fjords of Glacier Bay as well as enjoy the opportunity to spend a full day exploring Alaska’s capital, Juneau. Other highlights included a trip to Seward.
“Kenya & Tanzania Private Safari”: This trip spends 15 days exploring Kenya and Tanzania on a private safari with Monograms. Photography enthusiasts can spend each day looking for Africa’s lions, as well as leopards and cheetahs, hippos, zebras, giraffes and more.
“Italy and Greek Isles Cruise”: Guests will enjoy a 10-night trip with Celebrity Cruises, and will have the opportunity stroll the halls of the Colosseum in Rome. Other historic stops include a trip to Santorini, Greece, 9th century tombs and the sanctuary of Apollo.
