Vacation.com Reports 344 New Members Through Q3 2012

travel agentVacation.com reports that 344 new members have joined the agency marketing group, including U.S. and Canadian agencies, through the third quarter of 2012.

The number represents record growth outpacing the same period in 2011 by over 70 members, Vacation.com says. Vacation.com said it also  expects membership to be even higher by the end of the year and noted that the 2012 growth follows a record-setting recruitment year in 2011.

“We’re not just adding more agencies, we’re adding larger, higher producing agencies,” said Vacation.com President John Lovell who attributed the growth to several factors, including new programs.

Lovell cited Vacation.com's new GoSiteSee post-purchase mobile app, its e-Engagement retargeted marketing and its new Agent Universe Web portal as examples.

Established Vacation.com programs also have appeals for new members, including its In-Sites and AirPRO program

Also contributing to Vacation.com's growth is revamping its sales team  to better serve the needs of its membership base. By redefining current roles and expanding both inside and outside personnel, Vacation.com says it has been able to reach more potential members in more places.

Once a new agency joins Vacation.com, they’re assigned an Account Development Manager (ADM) to help implement Vacation.com programs and tools that can help them boost their business.

“The personal attention our members receive, working closely with our team, assures members that we’re invested in helping them continue to be profitable once they join our organization,” said Vacation.com Vice President of Sales Karin Viera.
