Kathy Fitzpatrick was named president of VAX VacationAccess Worldwide according to John Ische, chairman of VAX VacationAccess. Fitzpatrick will lead the continued growth of the travel agent leisure vacation platform and will expand efforts to bring more suppliers to the platform and deliver new products and tools to help travel agents effectively sell leisure travel.

With her exceptional background and experience in the travel industry, she will be instrumental in making VAX VacationAccess the industry's largest leisure travel marketplace," said Ische.

Fitzpatrick has more than 20 years of experience in the GDS industry working at Travelport, Worldspan, and Galileo. Prior to joining VAX VacationAccess, Fitzpatrick served as Travelport's senior vice president and managing director of Americas Travelport.
Since its launch in 2000, VAX VacationAccess has grown from a web version of the GDS "green screen" booking application to a point-and-click platform used by more than 65,000 travel agents and 18,000 agencies to sell vacations, air, hotel, and cruise.
