VAXVacationAccess has announced a new round of enhancements for its 100,000 plus travel agent users, including improvements to VAX Virtual University, a Global Media Library, improved registration and password reset processes, and intuitive airline feature inclusions.
The moves are part of VAX’s effort to become the largest and easiest provider of leisure travel destination and supplier information, research and training within one selling platform.

VAX VacationAccess is the largest online distribution platform for leisure travel agents and gives vacation suppliers a variety of ways to reach qualified travel agents, including a large audience of home-based agents. VAX develops innovative technology to help travel agents and agencies become more productive and profitable players in a highly competitive market, VAX says.
VAX Virtual University improvements to drive agent training: The new VAX VacationAccess Virtual University page makes viewing available training opportunities simple with a search engine and categorized training resources. Travel agents can sort Live and On-demand training in learning levels such as Core Curriculum, Electives and Masters level courses. The move is the first step in a shift toward improved travel agent training, with more content and enhancements planned for the coming months.
With its new Global Media Library, VAX VacationAccess provides travel agents access to marketing tools in the VAX Media Library tab for all participating suppliers. Improving the ability for agents to easily access photos, videos, flyers, logos and other dynamic content is a major focus for VAX in 2011.
VAX VacationAccess also has improved agent controls, including password reset, and easier registration, ensuring agents can begin selling more quickly. In addition, new tools allow travel agents to easily include features with flights – such as free baggage, movies, Wi-Fi or luxury travel kits, as well as use the “Vacation Experience” search on multi-stop vacations, island by island or destination by destination. The airline code-share information displays across all communications to comply with the new Department of Transportation regulation and cut extra steps.
Improved tools give agents more ways to make their clients happy: Within the booking engine, an enhanced payment section makes it easier for agents to sell to clients outside of the country. Promotions, the most popular section of the VAX site, will now allow agents to easily search supplier promotions by destination.
