We are excited to meet the many readers who are attending Luxury Travel Exchange International, November 27-29. It has been a great year hearing from so many of you and we can’t wait to put faces to names.

Whether you are a travel advisor or a supplier, we appreciate the time and investment you have made to be here with us. By being in attendance, you recognize the importance of the travel agent distribution channel and the value of education and relationships on your business.

If you have been following my column, you know we have an amazing three days planned for you and I encourage you to take advantage of every moment. I am confident you will walk away with new connections you will use for years to come. LTX is not a cookie cutter trade show. We have used your feedback and put it right into the elements you will find while in Las Vegas

Together with our sister publications, Luxury Travel Advisor and Travel Agent magazines, you will walk away from this experience as a more knowledge travel professional. From Tuesday to Thursday, there will be more hours of education and networking here than our popular Luxury Travel Expo.

If you haven’t planned the sessions you want to attend, make sure to log in to LTX Connect or visit our app, LTX Mobile at http://m.ltx2012.com. Though the program is tracked, you are welcome to sit in on any session that fits your needs. Also, we are excited to have Cruise Lines International Association debut its Specialty Cruise Collection Showcase on Tuesday, November 27, at 8:30 a.m. If you haven’t RSVPed, please do so as seating is extremely limited. This is a must-attend for any advisor looking to build his cruise sales market share. Visit LTXInternational.com/CLIA for details.

On the Exchange show floor, you can meet with hundreds of luxury and premium suppliers offering commissionable opportunities. Create your own personal map using LTX Mobile. Make sure to visit the many sponsors who recognize the importance of the travel advisor distribution channel. They include: American Express, AMResorts, Down Under Answers, Japan National Tourism Organization, Las Vegas Convention Visitors Authority, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Vacation.com and Virtuoso®. Supporters: Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Ensemble Travel Group, Signature Travel Network and The Travel Institute. Entertainment Sponsors: Base Entertainment and Cirque du Soleil; and the CLIA Specialty Cruise Collection, including: AMA Waterways, American Cruise Lines, Avalon Waterways, Crystal Cruises, Hurtigruten, Sea Dream Yacht Club, Seabourn Cruise Line, Silversea Cruises and Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection.

Delegates staying at the host hotel, The Palazzo Las Vegas, will enjoy the many amenities this amazing property has to offer (see page 16). During your visit with us, make sure to take the time to enjoy the second annual Winter in Venice Holiday Celebration and the Italian-inspired holiday festivities this one-of-a-kind celebration includes.

Registration closes on November 19 and we welcome any questions ([email protected]) you may have to help plan your time with us. Have a wonderful holiday and see you soon!
