Six Feet of Snow Falls in North Tahoe

While ski areas across the U.S. struggle through a dry December and January, resorts in North Tahoe in California and Nevada got six new feet of snow during a four-day series of storms.

While many area ski resorts have been able to use new snowmaking equipment to remain open since December, other resorts have just opened in response to the new snow infusion. Newly opened resorts include:

Tahoe Cross County (January 23)
Royal Gorge Cross Country (January 24)
Tahoe Donner Cross Country (January 24)
Tahoe Donner Downhill (January 24)
Donner Ski Ranch (Planned for January 25)
