Report: Saint Laurent Strikes Lock in Upstate New York

On Thursday night, the Saint Laurent cruise ship struck the wall of the Eisenhower Lock in upstate New York, CNN is reporting.

17 people suffered minor injuries, and were taken off the ship accompaniesd by 13 of their relatives to a local hospital. All of the injured passengers were treated, discharged, and returned to the ship early Friday. 

The ship is still in the lock as of 6 am Friday with all passengers onboard. Inspectors plan to assess any damage in the morning and determine if and when the ship will be able to leave the lock. 

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
