Korean Air Schedules A380s from U.S.

Korean Air will begin A380 service from New York and Los Angeles as of the end of the summer. Service from New York will begin August 2, and October 1 for Los Angeles.

The airline will initially fly the aircraft three times a week from JFK during August, and daily from September 1. The Los Angeles flights will be daily at the start of the launch.

The aircrafts will have a total of 407 seats with 12 in first class and 301 in economy class on the first level, and the 94 Prestige class seats on the upper level.

Flight 082 will depart JFK at 2 p.m. and arrive in Seoul Incheon at 5:10 p.m. the following day. The return flight will depart Seoul at 11 a.m. and arrive at JFK at 11:55 a.m. the same day. For the first month, flights will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

From LAX, flight 018 will depart daily at 12:30 p.m. and arrive at Seoul Incheon at around 5 p.m. the following day. The return flight will leave Seoul at 3 p.m. and arrive at LAX at 10:30 a.m.
