Preferred Travel of Naples, Inc.
“Travel designer” might actually be the best title for Connie Moody, who annually creates itineraries and then invites clients and friends to join her on them. “Art in Cuba” and “Route 66” have been just two of the themed trips she’s hosted. There were actually two different “Route 66” trips, created with the help of scholar Ned O’Malia — one of them ran from Chicago to Albuquerque, the other from Santa Fe to Santa Monica.
“They stopped at roadside attractions such as the Blue Whale, Gary Turner’s Sinclair Station, and Richardson’s Trading Post…they studied Mary Coulter architecture at the Grand Canyon, and had a Fred Harvey girl tell tales of the great railroad hotels of the West. This was one of the most challenging assignments Connie has undertaken in her 30-year career, but the result was a unique tour of America available only through Preferred Travel of Naples,” says Moody’s manager, Olga Placeres.
Working by referral only, Moody brings in an impressive $2.65 million a year in sales. A top producer for Crystal Cruises, Tauck and AmaWaterways, she’s also known as a team player, always looking to help a colleague with ideas and information.
“The smartest thing I ever did to expand my business was involve myself in causes that I cared about and not just for community exposure,” says Moody. “Naples is a very sophisticated volunteer community with millionaires and professionals like myself working side-by-side for the betterment of our causes. It becomes very apparent to potential clients which professional volunteers work for the cause for business contacts and which ones donate time and money to the cause because they believe strongly in the organization and its mission.”
“If you were designing a Top All Star agent model, you would include all of the qualities and abilities that Connie Moody exhibits. When technology allows, we will clone her!” Placeres says.
