Self drive and determination have led to Ginger Wolfe’s success in 2016, says Ann Caraway, her manager at Air/Sea International Travel. “She has an uncanny way of making her customer want to travel no matter how unsure the world may seem, due to safety and political crises,” Caraway tells us.

Wolfe has been in the business for 23 years, and in 2015, she took in more than $1 million in sales. Her specialties are FIT Europe vacations and ski and dude ranch getaways. She is a Classic Vacations Italy Expert and a Made for Spain expert as well, which came in handy when she planned a month’s stay in Italy, France, England and Spain for an affluent Mississippi family.

Details of the trip included picnics in the country, tastings at a private cave winery, boating in Italy, hot-air ballooning and antiquing through France and England. When the clients arrived in France at the onset of a terrorist attack, Wolfe talked them through managing the rest of the trip. In the end, they texted her to share how much they were enjoying drinking champagne on their balcony in Lake Como during a fireworks extravaganza.

“The smartest thing I ever did to expand my business was to make myself accessible 24/7 to my clients,” says Wolfe. “That usually results in making the impossible possible.”

She’s also a newlywed this year and highly recommends the One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas for honeymoons or anniversaries.

Her tips for closing a sale? If clients deem a trip is too expensive, she advises reducing the number of nights so they can still enjoy the vacation. In the end, she closes most sales by simply asking for the business. “Bottom line for me is making sure my clients are going to be happy,” she says.
