Leo Sorcher, 24
Inhabit The World, an affiliate of Embark Beyond
New York, NY
Five years ago, a passion for the vacation planning process spurred Leo Sorcher to become a travel advisor — first with Ovation Travel and then with Embark Beyond, New York, NY. Creative, organized and detailed, “I thought these traits, combined with my curiosity of the world, would serve me well as a travel advisor,” Sorcher says. They certainly have. Today, he’s the owner of Inhabit The World, an independent affiliate of Embark Beyond, and is fast building his luxury brand.
Sorcher was named to the 2019 STARS Celestial Club as one of the nation’s top 75 producing travel advisors for the Marriott International Luxury Brands. “Leo started with us as a college intern and has proven himself time and time again to becoming one of our top producing advisors,” says Jack Ezon, founder and managing partner, Embark Beyond, adding that Sorcher is “a magnet to his clients who appreciate his candor, responsiveness and commitment to emotional impact.”
Sixty-five percent of Sorcher’s clients are young couples (20 to 32 years of age), and Ezon believes that his “new generation perspective” provides “clued-in advice to the trendiest beach clubs, night clubs and hotels.” Most fascinating project? Sorcher mapped out and seamlessly executed a 40-day honeymoon for a wealthy young couple to California, France, Greece, South Africa, Japan and Bora Bora.
To inspire travel, he created @inhabittheworld on Instagram and launched a contest/giveaway to Mexico — partnering with Nizuc Resort & Spa Cancun on a three-night stay in an Ocean View Junior Suite with free breakfast. He also scored air certificates from his air group. Results? Sorcher gained 1,000 new Instagram followers, received 3,000 plus entries, added new clients and created more business.
