Madison Wallace, 25
Santa Barbara, CA
In under three years at TravelStore, Madison Wallace is already one of the Santa Barbara location’s highest producers. In the short time, Wallace “has taken to the luxury sales market well, working with high-profile clients with confidence and ease,” according to her general manager, Tanya Bryant.
At TravelStore, Wallace works on the Honeymoon Team and currently has clients in Mexico, the continental U.S. and even French Polynesia. “I have come to realize that these clients are still wanting to do a honeymoon or a trip even if their wedding is postponed,” she tells Travel Agent. “These couples have already been put through the wringer by having to plan and re-plan their entire wedding, so they are looking to escape.”
In French Polynesia, which reopened in July, Wallace says she’s a fan of The St. Regis Bora Bora, adding “it is paradise.”
Currently, Wallace splits her day between keeping in touch with clients and helping healthcare workers book rooms, as TravelStore is the State of California’s designated travel agency. Since April, “it has been all hand on deck and we have booked roughly 750,000 room nights,” she tells us. On the client side of the pandemic, Wallace says, “I believe my clients have more respect for what I do because I have been able to save them thousands and get them refunds that they otherwise would not have been able get back.”
Prior to COVID-19, one of the more challenging trips Wallace booked was a month-long trip through France, Switzerland and Italy. “My clients wanted to travel to a new town every couple of days to try and explore as much as possible since they had never been,” she says. Wallace convinced them to take a few cities out to give them more time in Paris and Rome, “which they were ultimately thankful for.”
