Fareportal Inc. reports its flagship subsidiary CheapOair.com is now in the “Top 3” spot, overtaking Travelocity and Hotwire to become the third most popular travel website, closing ranks with Expedia and Priceline, according to a new report from Experian Hitwise.
"Without million-dollar advertising campaigns or celebrity endorsements, the Fareportal brands have grown as a result of their customer-friendly approach, booking flexibility and multichannel support. OneTravel.com hovers in and out of the Top 10, but fell just shy of other rankings," the company says.
Privately-held Fareportal Inc. and its subsidiaries achieve customer service levels by utilizing websites, call centers, mobile apps, tablet optimization, email and live chat, the company says.
