The Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa is reporting that, inspite of political turmoil in Bangkok, this beach community remains as calm as ever.
"In fact, if anything, it's the most peaceful it's ever been," says Boyd Barker, general manager of the Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa. "We've had some cancellations strictly because some people don't feel comfortable flying into Bangkok, even though the action is miles away from Suvarnabhumi Airport."
Hua Hin, once a retreat for Thai sovereigns in the early 1920s is now the full-time residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. This year marks the towns 100th birthday.
