Disneyland Resort Hosts Nighttime Party, ElecTRONica

ElecTRONica renderingDisneyland Resort has debuted "ElecTRONica," a new nighttime event, featuring the upcoming movie, "TRON: Legacy" at the theme park in Anaheim, California. This fall, it will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, all week Thanksgiving week and nightly from Friday, December 17, to Sunday, January 2, before continuing through mid- to late April 2010.

Through December 1, a family of four (three adults and one child, age 3-9) can enjoy a $300 savings on a four-day, four night vacation package for arrival through December 16 to be completed by December 20, featuring hotel accommodations and four-day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Bonus Tickets.

Beginning in Sunshine Plaza, ElecTRONica will welcome you at a "TRON"-themed stage, featuring an evening music, video and dance show. After the show, you'll wander into Hollywood Pictures Backlot, before an ElecTRONica archway will take you to a street animated with a computerized color grid. Here, you'll experience the sensation of being digitized and transported into the computer mainframe world of "TRON: Legacy."

Be among the first to see the movie itself in 3D, featuring special effects exclusive to the theater, which shows Muppet*Vision 3D by day. Images from the film will be mapped through the Hollywood Picture Backlot, and light cycles traveling across the building facades and streets. Before entering the studio area, guests will catch a glimpse of the Recognizer, on the watch for unclassified "Programs" in the digital world of "TRON: Legacy," hovering above the ground in a vision of smoke and lights.

On-site entertainment also includes the DJ platform featuring a laser beam and professional DJs. Alongside dancers outfitted as "Sirens" and "Programs" from the movie populate the area, Laserman will take the stage, showcasing his tricks to music with lasers and light.

Off the dance floor, visitors will enter into a re-creation of Flynn's Video Arcade from "TRON: Legacy," featuring classic 1980's arcade games. Ahead of the December 7 release, players will have a chance at the "TRON: Evolution" video games, featuring light cycles and light discs in stories linking the two TRON films, and participate in a nightly tournament.

At the End of the Line Club, inspired by a new location in "TRON: Legacy," guests can visit the themed food truck, where glowing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
