Eden Rock Saint Barths Joins the Oetker Collection

The Oetker Collection, the luxury hotel company behind Le Bristol in Paris, Hotel du Cap Eden Roc on the French Riviera and the Palais Namaskar in Marrakech, recently added the Eden Rock Saint Barths to its portfolio. This addition marks Oetker's return to the island following its departure in 2013.

Perched on the rocks above the white sandy beaches fringing St. Jean’s Bay, the Eden Rock has 34 guest rooms and a restaurant by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. In managing the hotel, the Oetker Collection hopes to further develop the Eden Rock Villa Rental business in partnership with the Eden Rock owners, the Matthews family. The Eden Rock Saint Barths is a member of Relais and Chateaux.

Villas Upgrade in St. Barth’s

Recently LTA took a look at the Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France’s two newly renovated Garden Villas.

The 15 rooms in the garden section of the hotel are just across the road and a two-minute walk from the beach. The Garden Villas, each 1,586 square feet, accommodate up to six people; each has a large living room opening onto a large deck with a pool. Nice Touch: Each villa is in effect a family compound, surrounded by a wall of palm fronds and banana leaves, which ensures privacy.

Chefs are available to make lunch and dinner in the villa, and Isle de France’s star babysitters will keep younger VIPs busy with sandcastle contests, French lessons and shell art, or give parents some down time by taking children on excursions to natural tidal pools, a horse ranch or a paint-your-own pottery shop.

Luxury travel advisors should contact Laurence Garret, reservations manager ([email protected]; 011-590-590-2761-81) with special requests.
