Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort in Belize has just received the honor of Green Globe Certification.
As part of its green practices, the beachfront property staffs a Green Team, which is on hand to implement and oversee every eco-friendly effort. Soon to come, the Green Team has plans to launch new guest education programs to include topics lke the importance of being green; background on wildlife and nature; Mayan history; and Belizean cultures.
The hotel began working towards certification in September 2009 and was officially certified on April 7.
