Bolivia Added as Newest Kensington Tours Destination

Kensington Tours has created two new itineraries delving into Bolivia: Bolivia Explorer and Peru and Bolivia Highlights. The guided tour operator notes the country’s natural beauty, unique experiences and historical significance as the reasons for adding the destination.

Both itineraries include experiences through famed attractions such as the Salar de Uyuni salt flats; the administrative capital of La Paz; a visit to the Witches’ Market; a hike through the Valley of the Moon (an eroded mountain range); and a walk through the ruins of ancient Tiwanaku. Complementing this, Kensington Tours’ customized options include dinner with a cultural performance inside La Recoleta, a lookout point sitting above the colonial capital of Sucre; and an intimate picnic on the sea flats.

The Bolivia Explorer tour totals nine days and starts at $4,293 per person, while Peru and Bolivia Highlights is 16 days and begins at $9,728.

“Bolivia is a remarkable destination that hasn’t been fully uncovered,” said Alison Hickey, president of Kensington Tours in a written release.  “To be able to add it to our growing portfolio is very exciting.”

Kensington Tours maintains a staff of 150 knowledgeable destination experts who can tailor any of its 600-plus itineraries to clients’ specific needs. Kensington Tours currently runs trips in more than 90 countries worldwide offering handcrafted itineraries, expertise and local insights.

The company also recently acquired Lionshare, a 130-foot Heeson motor yacht with exclusive itineraries scheduled for the Caribbean and western Mediterranean. Lionshare represents the first vessel in Kensington Tours’ fleet.
