Collette Extends Double My Bookings Promotion

Collette Vacations is extends its qualifying Italy departure dates for its Double My Bookings promotion to include both July and August 2011, in addition to the months of May and June. With the extension, agents who book any Collette Italy departure for May through August may qualify it as a double booking that goes toward the tour operator’s 5 for $500 travel agent incentive program.

“The Double My Bookings promotion is aimed to get travel agents qualified faster for Collette’s 5 for $500 booking incentive, which ends April 30th,” said Frank Marini, Collette’s vice president of sales. “By including July and August departures of our popular Italy programs into the qualifying mix, we simply look to drive bookings and make it easier for agents to earn $500.”

The 5 for $500 incentive, which was launched in January, rewards travel agents with $500 when they make either five bookings or book 10 passengers between Jan. 1 through April 30 for travel in 2011.

The Double My Bookings promotion applies to departures for Collette brands that include Explorations and Smithsonian Journeys Travel Adventures departing in May through August 2011, and any Collette Family Vacations 2011 departures. It excludes the Italian Lakes and Greek Isles tour. Italy tours that are included are Italian Vistas; Rome & the Amalfi Coast; Italy’s Treasures: Art, Food & Wine of Italy (Explorations); Southern Italy & Sicily; and Italy Family Discovery.
