Contiki Vacations' field sales team is joining forces with Trafalgar Tours. The strategic realignment will increase the field strength of both brands in the marketplace. Over the coming months, Trafalgar and Contiki field teams will collaborate in cross-training to capitalize on additional opportunities and lay strategic groundwork for the upcoming selling season.
"It is our goal to increase the level of agent support for the Contiki product by increasing the reach of our sales force and incorporating the Contiki product line into all of our sales activities," said Paul Wiseman, President of Trafalgar Tours. "By leveraging the strength of both brands we provide a solution that will boost our travel agent partners' passenger sales through broadening the market to include younger customers."
"In combining Contiki field sales into Trafalgar, I have tripled Contiki's 'brandwidth' within the travel agent community," said Greg "Fish" Fischbein, president of Contiki Vacations.
Trafalgar and Contiki will remain separate business units within The Travel Corporation, each with executive sales, marketing and reservations departments that will continue to support trade partners with specialized initiatives that speak to their respective demographics. Both companies say agents can expect enhancements in both sales and product training to coincide with the new brochure launches from both brands late this summer.
