service, citing the travel industry's shifting focus on short-term profits over
service and customer relationships. "Unfortunately, the travel industry
has moved away from service as a valued selling point, and short-term profit
has become more valued than established, trusted relationships," wrote
Mile Hi President Pam Murdock on the company's web site. "We did our best
to compete in this new technology-driven, mega-business environment.
Regrettably, we were just too small and too focused on personal service and we
