National Peace Corps Association Launches New Initiative for Travelers Looking to Help

The National Peace Corps Association has announced today that it has begun a global service program called Next Step Travel. This new campaign will allow interested travelers, including Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and their friends and family, the opportunity to do some good overseas while on vacation.

During the program, the volunteers will join others for two weeks of in-country service and tracel and more about the work of volunteers and non-government organizations. They will also contribute their efforts to a small grassroots project as well as traveling around to take in the local sights.

The first trips being offered will begin in October and be locating in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. Volunteers will be arranged into groups of twenty and will be operated by Discover Corps, an offshoot program of Terra.
