New Family Travel Program to Costa Rica Introduced

JOURNEYS International announced their newest family travel program, Rain Forest Adventure Camp, an activity-packed week of learning about the tropical rainforest and about Costa Rica, designed to engage the whole family.

JOURNEYS Rainforest Adventure Camp for families is based at La Quinta Country Inn, located in the Sarapiqui region near Braulio Carillo National Park.

Families have their own private porches with hammocks. The gardens are full of colorful frogs, butterflies and tropical birds, and the open-air dining room overlooks a swimming pool.

Family members from age four to 84 can choose from a wide range of daily adventures including searching for bugs and bats and monkeys at Tirimbina Reserve and La Selva Biological Station, visiting a pineapple plantation, riding horses, playing soccer with local schoolchildren, and learning crafts, cooking, Spanish language and Latin dancing.

Thrill-seekers can go whitewater rafting and zip-lining over the rainforest canopy. The JOURNEYS Rain Forest Adventure Camp 2010 sessions run from June 20-26 and July 31-August 6. Enrollment will be limited to 10-12 families per session. Costs range from $875-$1375 per person.
