Pacific Delight Tours is partnering with Tripfilms to produce the first annual Trippy Awards. The awards honor the best travel videos by real travelers posted on the innovative website as voted by members. The grand prize is an all-inclusive 11-day China Experience featuring a Yangtze River Cruise as well as excursions in Beijing and Shanghai. The prize will be awarded to the TripVlogger of the Year, or member with best online travel video. Tripfilms is accepting nominations in a number of categories, including the Host Of The Year award (best on-camera personality), Hop On A Plane award (most inspiring video), Jot This Down award (best travel planning video), Travel Bites award (best food video), Ends Of The Earth award (best off-the-beaten-path video) LOL award (funniest video) and several others, with 10 Trippy Awards in total.
To nominate videos, members are encouraged to submit e-mails with the subject line Trippy Award Nominations to [email protected], including the award category and a link to the member video. All video uploaded prior to January 31 are eligible. Members are entitled to nominate up to three videos per category. The deadline for nominations is February 12, 2009.
