Tauck Passes Tour Savings Of Up To $580 To Guests

Tauck is passing savings negotiated with its suppliers along to guests on its European land journeys and selected tours in the Canadian Rockies. The savings can add up to $580 per couple. The company’s “Tauck Partners’ Savings” apply to all 2009 departures of its Yellow Roads Of Europe land tours and to five tours in the Canadian Rockies.

"Over the past 90 days our partners in Europe and Western Canada have extended considerations to Tauck that go well beyond what they normally offer," said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar.

On Tauck’s collection of Yellow Roads European land journeys, the same savings apply to every itinerary, although the savings vary by departure date. Tauck guests with departure dates prior to July 1 will save $260 per person, or $520 per couple.  hose traveling on departure dates of July 1 or later will save $190 per person, or $380 per couple.  The Partners’ Savings come in addition to savings that Tauck guests are already receiving as the company held its 2008 double-occupancy prices on each of its Yellow Roads European land tours.

A total of five Tauck tours in the Canadian Rockies are included in the company’s Partners’ Savings program. Unlike the Partners’ Savings in Europe, the savings vary by itinerary, but are not related to departure date. Savings on Tauck's Grand Canadian Rockies Tour, for example, are  $290 per person and its Best of the Canadian Rockies tour is $160 per person.

Mahar emphasized that every Tauck itinerary included in the Partners’ Savings program has either been enhanced or remains unchanged, and each continues to deliver the same experience and service that Tauck guests have come to expect from the 84-year-old company.

Guests already booked on any of the journeys in the Partners’ Savings program will have a credit applied to their booking.  “Extending these same savings to guests who have already committed to traveling with us is the right thing to do,” said Mahar.  “We would never penalize our guests for booking early with Tauck.”

Tauck’s collection of 26 Yellow Roads land journeys is named for the scenic byways of Europe, which are highlighted on Michelin roadmaps in yellow.  The company’s journeys travel these “yellow roads” to showcase must-see sites as well as authentic, off-the-beaten-path cultural attractions that bring each destination to life.  Partners’ Savings do not apply to Tauck Bridges family tours in Europe, or to Tauck’s European river or small-ship cruises.
