Veteran travel executive Jennifer Tombaugh was named President of Tauck Inc. Chairman Arthur Tauck Jr. and Tauck’s CEO Dan Mahar made the announcement.
Formerly serving as Tauck's Executive Vice President, Tombaugh has been with Tauck in a variety of marketing, new ventures and worldwide operations roles since 2001. She will continue to report to Mahar.
“Jennifer has excelled in every responsibility she has taken on at Tauck, and she has been a wonderful partner to me over the past decade,” said Mahar. “Jennifer helped build new brands and partnerships for Tauck, she has led key functions across our company, and she possesses excellent leadership attributes including a positive attitude, a commitment to excellence and a proven ability to get the job done.”
Tombaugh has held a number of leadership positions within the company. She was the Brand Manager for the launch of Tauck Bridges, the company’s family travel brand, and she was a key player in Tauck’s IT systems transformation project from 2006 to 2008.
Tombaugh currently has operating responsibility for the Worldwide Operations and General Management functions, and she recently led the formation of Tauck’s new partnership with the noted filmmaker Ken Burns.
Prior to joining Tauck, Tombaugh worked at Leo Burnett and The Coca Cola Company. She holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Tombaugh will continue to serve on the company’s Executive Committee, which also includes Mahar, Navin Sawhney (SVP Global Sales), Sharyn Cannon (SVP Human & Business Resources) and Tom D’Angelo (CFO).
