Tourism Cares, the non-profit group dedicated to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, has begun a long-term partnership with GTA North America, a subsidiary of GTA which is one of the world’s largest travel wholesalers. Tourism Cares and GTA North America will form a global strategic alliance, and GTA North America has agreed to promote the work of Tourism Cares around the world.
GTA North America shares Tourism Cares’ mission to preserve the travel experience through the restoration and rejuvenation of landmark and historical sites for the benefit of both today’s and future generations and upholds the belief that everyone in the travel industry is responsible for investing in the future. GTA North America will be assisting Tourism Cares in many ways including the promotion of the non-profit’s Tourism Caretaker program that encourages all members of the travel and tourism industry to give back support. GTA North America executives and staff will also be participating in future Tourism Cares’ volunteer restoration projects both in USA and abroad.

GTA North America will be promoting Tourism Cares’ efforts at trade shows and conferences throughout the world. “The support of Tourism Cares by GTA North America is very exciting and helps take us to a different level,” said Bruce Beckham, executive director of Tourism Cares. “Their customer and supplier reach gives us a tremendous opportunity to tell our story, globally, of how important it is to preserve and restore our worldwide treasures so that our children and grandchildren can enjoy the pieces of history and culture we have today.”
