Travel Bound, GTA North America Appoint New Sales Directors

Theresa McLarney has been appointed director of national accounts at Travel Bound, and Younes Ajdi has been appointed director of wholesale sales at GTA North America. Both will report to Richie Karaburun, president of Travel Bound and GTA North America. Travel Bound sells to retail travel agents and consortium, while GTA North America sells to tour operators and other wholesalers.

“I am very pleased to welcome Theresa and Younes to our North American team, “said Karaburun. “They bring an impressive range of experience in business development with them, along with energy, enthusiasm and drive.  I’m sure clients in both our wholesale and retail segments will enjoy working with them.”

McLarney, a travel industry veteran for 18 years, most recently led business development at ARC for the PayABill electronic invoicing and payment system. Previously, she was Director of Sales at Smart Destinations, Regional Director of the U.S. Northeast and Eastern Canada at Cendant’s, Cheaptickets and Orbitz.  At World Choice Travel, she served as Vice President of Hotels, charged with growing the company’s Merchant Model Hotel program. Ajdi also has 18 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry.  Since 2005, he served as Director of Business Development in the Middle East, North Africa and West Africa for GTA.  He has been with GTA since 2000, when he started as Business Development Manager for Morocco, Algeria, Bahrain, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, bringing strong growth to the region.  Originally from Morocco, Ajdi worked in sales for Middle East Intercontinental Hotels Group prior to joining GTA.

Selling exclusively to travel agents since 1982, Travel Bound is a brand of GTA (Gullivers Travel Associates).  GTA is a brand of Travelport.
