Evening summer operations at Vail Mountain started on Thursday, June 26. Every Thursday through Saturday throughout the summer season, the Eagle Bahn Gondola will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for access to evening activities at Adventure Ridge and dinner at Bistro Fourteen and Game Creek Restaurant.
Adventure Ridge opened a new, single-line, 200-foot long zip line geared towards Vail’s youngest guests. Kids aged five and older, between 30 and 100 lbs, can enjoy flying through the air on this new activity. Guests can try a ropes challenge course designed especially for kids, which is planned to open later this summer at Adventure Ridge.
Open hiking and biking trails on Vail Mountain include Berrypicker, Big Mamba, Eagle’s Loop, Fireweed, Fred’s Lunch, Gitalong Road, Grand Escape, Hank’s Hideaway, Lion Down, Lucy’s Loop, Magic Forest, Mane Lane, Onza Alley, PMT, Ridge Route, Radio Flyer, Village Trail, and portions of Grand Traverse.
The Bistro Fourteen is open for summer operations, offering lunch daily as well as dinner Thursdays through Saturdays. Game Creek Restaurant is also open, offering après specials on the deck with views overlooking the Vail Valley, dinner Thursdays through Saturdays, and a Sunday brunch through Sunday, Aug. 31.
Lift tickets are required to ride Gondola One and the Eagle Bahn Gondola during the summer and can be purchased at the Vail Village or Lionshead Ticket Offices. All 2014-2015 season pass holders receive unlimited, free scenic access to the both gondolas. Guests who have not yet secured a pass for next winter can purchase online at www.epicpass.com or visit any ticket office for more information.
